This week for our Super Science Book Series, we will be reading Secrets of The Rain Forest By: Carron Brown. Follow along as I read about the different animals in the rainforest and the challenges they face to survive. What animals in this book do you see in the rainforest that you live in?

STEM Challenge 1: The rainforest is full of so many unique animals and different species, what better way to learn about them that being one?

Okay, no you can not grab a magical wand and make yourself a true rainforest animal. But you can act like one. Go outside and use your imagination to pretend that you are a rainforest animal. Imitate three different ways a rainforest animal would move on the rainforest floor or in the treetop above. Then, explain why they move that way and how does this help them survive?

STEM Challenge 2: The rainforest is a beautiful and magical place with so much wonder, and all of the delightful layers of it. All the way from the treetops to the forest floor. Research the different layers of the rainforest and what different kinds of animals live in each one.
